Description
The CAV24C02/04/08/16 are CMOS Serial EEPROM devices with capacities of 2−Kb, 4−Kb, 8−Kb, and 16−Kb respectively. They are organized internally into 16/32/64/128 pages, with each page containing 16 bytes. These devices support both the Standard (100 kHz) and Fast (400 kHz) I2C protocols. Data can be written by providing a starting address and loading 1 to 16 contiguous bytes into a Page Write Buffer, which is then written to the non-volatile memory in a single internal write cycle. Data can be read by providing a starting address and shifting out the data serially, with the internal address count automatically incrementing. External address pins allow for addressing multiple devices on the same bus.
