Description
The HMC540LP3E is a 4-bit digital phase shifter die designed for RF attenuator applications. It operates in the frequency range of 8 to 12 GHz, providing 0 to 360 degrees of phase coverage with a least significant bit (LSB) of 22.5 degrees. This phase shifter offers high accuracy and exceptional performance, with a low root mean square (RMS) phase error of 5 degrees and minimal insertion loss variation of ±0.8 dB across all phase states. It is internally matched to 50 Ohms, requiring no external components and no fixed bias voltage. The HMC540LP3E can be controlled using complementary logic of 0/-3V and can easily convert a positive CMOS control voltage into complementary negative control signals with the use of external level shifting circuitry.
