Description
The DS1233A EconoReset is an electronic component model in the category of supervisors. It serves as a monitoring device for a microprocessor, specifically monitoring the power supply and external override conditions. It utilizes a precision temperature-compensated reference and comparator circuit to monitor the power supply status. When an out-of-tolerance condition is detected, it generates an internal power fail signal that triggers a reset to the active state. Upon the power supply returning to an in-tolerance condition, the reset signal remains active for approximately 350ms to allow for stabilization of the power supply and processor. In addition to power supply monitoring, the DS1233A also features pushbutton reset control. It debounces a pushbutton closure and generates a 350ms reset pulse upon release.
