Description
The MAX706P/R/S/T, MAX706AP/AR/AS/AT, and MAX708R/S/T are supervisory circuits that aim to minimize the number of components required to monitor power-supply levels in microprocessor systems. They monitor +3V power-supply levels and provide four functions, including a reset output during power-up and power-down, a watchdog output, a 1.25V threshold detector for power-fail warning, low-battery detection or monitoring of a power supply other than the main supply, and an active-low, manual-reset input. These devices greatly improve system reliability and accuracy and offer an alternative to using separate ICs and discrete components.
