The Electronic Component Model 1318579-1 is a rectangular connector housing from the D-4000 Series. It is designed for wire-to-board, wire-to-panel, and wire-to-wire connections. With newly designed contacts featuring four contact points, this connector offers improved current values compared to the previous Dynamic 3000 Series. The D-4000 Series can achieve a current of 20A with the use of 3-position connectors. Despite the increase in current capacity, the mating height has only increased by approximately 14% and the current capacity per unit volume is higher by approximately 32%. This connector is available in 2-, 3-, and 4-position wire-to-board types, as well as a 3-position wire-to-wire type. It provides a flexible solution to meet customer demands.
