Description
The DS1747-70+ is a real-time clock/calendar with nonvolatile static RAM. It is a Y2K-compliant electronic component for various applications. The RTC information and control bits are stored in eight RAM locations, accessible via byte-wide interface. The RTC clock registers are double-buffered to avoid incorrect data during update cycles. The clock registers contain data in BCD format for century, year, month, date, day, hours, minutes, and seconds, with automatic leap year compensation. The electronic component is totally nonvolatile, and the lithium energy source can provide power for over 10 years in the absence of power. The DS1747-70+ is available in standard and surface-mountable package options.
