Electronic Component Model:Q4016NH3RP is a bidirectional alternistor TRIAC offered by Teccor. It has a current rating ranging from 6A to 40A and voltages from 200V to 1000V. This component is designed specifically for applications that switch highly inductive loads. It offers the same performance as two thyristors wired inverse parallel (back-to-back) and provides better turn-off behavior compared to a standard triac. The alternistor can be triggered from a blocking to conduction state for either polarity of applied AC voltage with operating modes in Quadrants I, II, and III.
