Description
The MAX5971BETI+ is a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) controller designed for use in IEEE® 802.3af/at-compliant PSE applications, which is a single-port power sourcing equipment (PSE) power controller. This device provides discovery of powered device (PD), classification, current limit, as well as DC and AC load-disconnect detections. The MAX5971BETI+ operates automatically without the need for any software programming in an integrated power MOSFET and sense resistor configuration.
