Description
The HD6412390F20 is a microcontroller from the H8S/2329 Group and H8S/2328 Group series. It is built around the H8S/2000 CPU and employs Renesas' proprietary architecture. The H8S/2000 CPU has an internal 32-bit architecture and is provided with sixteen 16-bit general registers. It has a concise, optimized instruction set designed for high-speed operation and can address a 16-Mbyte linear address space. This microcontroller is upward-compatible with H8/300 and H8/300H CPU instructions at the object-code level, making it easy to migrate from the H8/300, H8/300L, or H8/300H Series.
The HD6412390F20 microcontroller also comes equipped with a variety of on-chip supporting functions, including a DMA controller (DMAC), data transfer controller (DTC) bus masters, ROM and RAM, a 16-bit timer-pulse unit (TPU), a programmable pulse generator (PPG), an 8-bit timer, a watchdog timer (WDT), a serial communication interface (SCI), an A/D converter, a D/A converter, and I/O ports. It also features a high-functionality bus controller, which enables fast and easy connection of DRAM and other types of memory.
There are both single-power-supply flash memory (F-ZTAT) and mask ROM versions available for the HD6412390F20 microcontroller. This allows for a quick and flexible response to changing specifications, even during ramp-up and full-scale volume production. The ROM is connected to the CPU via a 16-bit data bus, which enables both byte and word data to be accessed in one state, thereby increasing instruction fetching speed and overall processing speed.
