Description
The EZ158X family of high performance positive voltage regulators, including the EZ1582CM model, is designed for use in applications requiring very low dropout voltage. These voltage regulators are available in 7, 5, 3, and 1.5 amp versions. One of the key advantages of the EZ158X family is its superior dropout characteristics, which result in reduced heat dissipation compared to regular LDOs, allowing for heat sink size reduction. The EZ158X also provides excellent regulation over variations in line, load, and temperature. Additionally, the EZ158X supports remote sense operation, enabling compensation for trace, connector, and other resistive losses.
