The W83697HG is a popular I/O component model from Winbond. It features a new interface called LPC (Low Pin Count), which is a cost-effective implementation with lower pin count compared to the ISA interface. The LPC interface provides equivalent performance and can save approximately 40 pin counts. The W83697HG integrates a Game Port and MIDI Port and requires no BIOS or device driver update except for chip-specific configuration.
