The DF30FC-30DS-0.4V(82) is a rectangular board-to-board connector that belongs to the array, edge type, and mezzanine category. The connector has been designed to address the increased component density and continuous miniaturization of PCBs which created the demand for extremely low profile connectors. This series is an addition to the Hiroses wide range of high-reliability board-to-board/board-to-FPC connection solutions.
Specifications and features
- Contact reliability: The contacts normal forces are concentrated at the single point which ensures good contact wipe and electrical reliability.
- Self-alignment: The connectors can self-align in the horizontal axis within 0.3mm which is essential for mating extremely small connectors in limited spaces.
- Automatic board placement: The plug and headers are packaged on tape-and-reel and have sufficiently large flat areas to allow pick-up with vacuum nozzles of automatic placement equipment.
- Variety of contact positions and styles: The connector is available in standard contact positions ranging from 20 to 80 with or without metal fittings. Smaller contact positions are also available.
- Support for continuity test connector: Connectors are available for continuity tests with increased insertion and removal durability.
