Description
The X9C104P is an Intersil digitally controlled (XDCP) potentiometer model. It is a solid-state potentiometer with a three-wire serial interface. It consists of a resistor array, wiper switches, a control section, and nonvolatile memory. The wiper position is stored in the nonvolatile memory and recalled on power-up. It has 100 wiper tap points and 99 resistive elements. The resistance is temperature compensated and has an end to end resistance of ±20%. The terminal voltages are ±5V. It operates with low power CMOS technology, consuming a maximum active current of 3mA and a standby current of 750µA. The X9C104P has high reliability with endurance for 100,000 data changes per bit and register data retention for 100 years. It is available in 8-lead SOIC and DIP packages.
