Description
The MAX9217ECM+ is a digital video parallel-to-serial converter that serializes 27 bits of parallel data into a serial data stream. It encodes and multiplexes 18 bits of video data and 9 bits of control data onto the serial interface, reducing the serial data rate. The MAX9217ECM+ is designed to work in conjunction with the MAX9218 deserializer, forming a complete digital video serial link. It can be used with controlled-impedance PCB traces or twisted-pair cable for interconnectivity. The MAX9217ECM+ features proprietary data encoding, which reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) and provides DC balance. It also provides a LVDS output that is internally terminated with 100Ω.
