Description
The Electronic Component Model ACS712ELCTR is an economical and precise solution for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communications systems. It is designed for applications such as motor control, load detection and management, switch mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. However, it is not intended for automotive applications. The device consists of a precise, low-offset, linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path near the surface of the die. The applied current flowing through this path generates a magnetic field, which is converted into a proportional voltage by the Hall IC. The device accuracy is optimized due to the close proximity of the magnetic signal to the Hall transducer. The low-offset, chopper-stabilized BiCMOS Hall IC provides a precise and proportional voltage after packaging.
