Multiple Benefits of Resettable Fuses
Many people may not pay much attention to the role of self-resetting fuses, but they play a very important role for areas with unstable voltage and users who like hot-plugging. An excellent motherboard should be equipped with a self-resetting fuse for each group of plug-in devices, but many mid-to-low-end motherboard manufacturers will save money in this regard, and some will even let several groups of devices share a fuse or omit it directly. This is very dangerous for the motherboard and will seriously shorten its life. Therefore, when choosing a motherboard, we must pay attention to whether a self-resetting fuse is installed, which largely determines the life of the computer.
Self-resetting fuses can also protect LED backlighting. When evaluating the quality of the motherboard, we usually pay attention to the power supply design and workmanship of the motherboard, but the quality of the motherboard depends not only on these factors, but also on the level of capacitors, inductors, materials, plugins, self-protection, etc. In my opinion, the self-protection of the motherboard is one of the most important factors. Here, I want to talk about the role of self-resetting fuses in the motherboard circuit board.
Self-resetting fuses are widely used in automotive electronics, electrical equipment, electronics industry, and communication equipment, such as car anti-theft devices, security equipment, fire alarms, and switches. Since self-resetting fuses have no polarity, small impedance, and are very easy to install, they can be used in DC or AC circuits. Overall, self-resetting fuses have the following seven advantages:
1. Easy to install;
2. Compared with other protective components of the same type, it reduces the number, area, and damage of components, thereby reducing after-sales service costs;
3. Self-resetting fuses have self-recovery ability;
4. Self-resetting fuses can automatically recover to the normal state without manual replacement and can be reused;
5. When a fault occurs, the self-resetting fuse will not reconnect the fault;
6. Self-resetting fuses improve product quality, greatly reduce the natural damage rate of products, and extend the service life of products;
7. Self-resetting fuses increase the high-tech elements of products.
