Four items of resistance temperature sensor

The resistance temperature sensor is one of the commonly used detection instruments that are widely used in various fields. It has many advantages, such as accurate measurement, flexible use, and a wide measurement range. This article will summarize some points to note when using a resistance temperature sensor.

1. Pay attention to the temperature measurement range. For example, the pt100 temperature sensor is mainly used for temperature ranges below 650℃. Although it can also be used for temperature ranges above 650℃, A-level errors are not allowed in this case.

2. Avoid excessive errors. When using a resistance temperature sensor, try to use a small current through the resistor. The current should not exceed 6mA. For the pt100 temperature sensor of Jiuchunjian, a current of less than 6mA will not cause measurement errors.

3. Pay attention to the grounding problem of the bridge. If the negative terminal of the bridge power supply is used as the ground wire, both output wires of the bridge have voltage to the ground. Only the differential mode voltage between the two wires reflects the degree of imbalance. This puts certain requirements on the design of electronic circuits or the grounding points.

4. Multiple thermal resistors should be connected using a four-wire connection. Its current line can be connected in series and powered by the same constant current source. The two voltage wires of the potential difference meter are respectively switched to each thermal resistor for multi-point cyclic detection. However, there is a common-mode voltage on its two voltage wires, and the values of the common-mode voltage are not equal. If it is connected to a computer interface, this feature must be noted.
