Description
The MAX8686 is a DC switching regulator belonging to the category of a current-mode, synchronous PWM stepdown regulator with integrated MOSFETs. It works in an input supply range of 4.5V to 20V and generates an adjustable output voltage from 0.7V to 5.5V. The device is capable of delivering up to 25A per phase. With the ability to start up monotonically and an adjustable soft-start capability, there is a controlled turn-on feature that can be optimized using applications with different load currents. The device supports programmable phase shedding to improve the efficiency of the system during low load operations.
