Description
The MCZ34670EG is a highly integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) controller that enables safe installation and removal of boards from live -48V backplanes without having to power down the entire system.
Specifications and features
The controller integrates a Power MOSFET and Control IC in a small outline package, with an input voltage operation range from -15V to -80V. Programmable overcurrent limit with auto retry, programmable charging current limit independent of load capacitor, programmable start-up and retry delay timer, programmable overvoltage and undervoltage detection. The controller has active high and low power good output signals, and thermal shutdown protection.
This model has enhanced programmability, allowing the user to safely manipulate the inrush current from the supply to the load's filter capacitor to stabilize the system. The two-level current limit approach helps to control the inrush current and peak power dissipation in the Power MOSFET.Application Scenarios
