Description
The ICL3207CAZ is a RS-232 transceiver (three receivers and five transmitters) that operates on a power supply range from 3.0V to 5.5V. It is compatible with EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 specifications, even when powered by 3.0V. The device is designed for use in devices where low operational and standby power consumption is vital, such as PDAs, peripherals, laptops, and palmtops. Its low power consumption, efficient on-chip charge pumps, and automatic power-down function make it highly suitable for mobile and portable devices. It is designed to consume a standby current of only 1µA, which ensures a longer battery life. Plus, the ICL3207CAZ meets the requirements of 3.3V-only systems, mixed 3.3V/5.0V systems, and 5.0V-only systems.
