Description
The LT1131ACNW is a member of the LT1130A/LT1140A series of RS232 drivers/receivers designed for use in receiver and transceiver applications. This electronic component utilizes special bipolar construction techniques that provide protection to the drivers and receivers beyond the fault conditions set for RS232. It also comes with an advanced driver output stage that can operate up to 250kbaud while driving heavy capacitive loads.
Specifications and features
- ESD protection over ±10kV (±15kV for LT1133A, LT1137A, and LT1141A according to IEC-1000-4-2)
- Uses small capacitors of 0.1µF and 0.2µF
- Supply current of 1µA in shutdown
- 120kBaud operation for RL = 3k, CL = 2500pF
- 250kBaud operation for RL = 3k, CL = 1000pF
- Low power comparable to CMOS
- Flowthrough architecture allows for easy PC layout
- Absolutely no latchup due to its rugged bipolar design
- Outputs assume high impedance state when off or powered down
- RS232 I/O lines can be forced to ±30V without any damage
- Output overvoltage does not force current back into supplies
- Available in SO and SSOP packages
