    The CD74HC597E is a high-speed, CMOS silicon gate octal shift register with 3-state parallel outputs. It has a low power consumption and the ability to drive 15 LSTTL devices making it ideal for use in shifting register applications in electronic circuits. The CD74HC597E is a functionally and pin compatible alternative to the 74LS597 shift register.
