Description
Littelfuse CG2230 is a gas discharge tube (GDT) belonging to the CG/CG2 series. It is designed to provide surge protection in a small size, making it ideal for board level circuit protection. GDTs work as switches that dissipate very little energy, thereby handling currents that surpass other types of transient voltage protection. Their gas-filled, rugged ceramic metal construction makes them ideal for use in adverse environments. The CG/CG2 series is available in various forms including surface mount, core, straight and shaped leads to serve a variety of mounting methods. The CG2230 model comes in a voltage range of 145V-1000V, making it suitable for use in higher voltage limits where holdover voltages are necessary. Additionally, these GDTs exhibit extremely low arc voltages, making them suitable for use in equipment that requires low voltage limits.<
