The SN65LBC174AN is a differential driver and receiver chip designed for high-speed bidirectional data communication over long cables that take on the characteristics of transmission lines. It is part of a family of monolithic integrated circuits that meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI RS-485 and ISO 8482:1987(E) standards. This chip is voltage-balanced or differential, making it ideal for use in multipoint data transmission systems.
