Description

The EM8476 is a single-chip MPEG audio/video decoder that supports various media formats such as DVD-Video, Superbit™ DVD, SVCD, VCD, and audio CD. It offers video decoding support for MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4 advanced simple video profile Level 51. Audio decoding support includes Dolby Digital, MPEG-1 Layers 1 and 2, MPEG-4 high-quality profile Level 2, and 16-bit linear PCM. The EM8476 also features hardware CSS decryption, aspect ratio support, 3:2 pull-down, and multiple angles and sub-picture for DVD-Video media.
