Electronic Component Model: R8830G is an IC chip that belongs to the RISC architecture. It has a static design and is synthesizable. It features a bus interface with a multiplexed address and data bus which is compatible with the 80C188 microprocessor. It also supports a nonmultiplexed address bus [A19 : A0], with a 1M byte memory address space and a 64K byte I/O space. This component is software compatible with the 80C186 and supports two asynchronous serial channels with hardware handshaking signals. It supports a serial port with DMA transfers and has 32 PIO pins. It also features a PSRAM (Pseudo static RAM) interface with auto-refresh control. Additionally, it has three independent 16-bit timers and one independent watchdog timer. The interrupt controller has seven maskable external interrupts and one nonmaskable external interrupt. There are also two independent DMA channels and a programmable chip-select logic for Memory or I/O bus cycle decoder. Lastly, it has a programmable wait-state generator.
