    SN74LS642-1NE4 is an octal bus transceiver which is designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. This circuit allows data transmission from A bus to B or from B bus to A bus depending upon the logic level of direction control (DIR) input. The enable input (G) of this device can disable the circuit, thus ensuring that the buses are effectively isolated. The control function implementation in this electronic component minimizes external timing requirements.
