Description
The LX8587A-ADJ is a positive regulator IC designed to provide 3A output current. It is suitable for Pentium® Processor and Power PC™ applications that require fast transient response. The LX8587A-ADJ has a dropout of less than 1.2V at 3A, while the LX8587 has a dropout of less than 1.3V at the same current. This makes them ideal for providing well-regulated outputs of 2.5V to 3.6V using a 5V input supply. Fixed versions of the IC are also available.
