Description
The PCF7936AS is a programmable Security Transponder, also known as HITAG 2. It is designed for contactless authentication and memory access between a basestation and the transponder. This transponder is widely used in modern vehicle immobiliser applications due to its excellent device sensitivity and short authentication time. It has 256 bits of non-volatile memory (EEPROM), with 128 bits reserved for user data storage. The PCF7936AS supports advanced prepersonalisation techniques with cipher mode data exchange and read/write protection of data. It also features a factory programmed 32-bit unique identification number for device identification. The transponder power supply and system clock are derived from the magnetic component of the RF field generated by the basestation. With low power consumption, the PCF7936AS provides excellent sensitivity in read and write mode. It is assembled in a small leadless stick-shaped plastic package.
