Description
The PCA9548AD,112 is an octal bidirectional translating switch with an I2C-bus interface logic, compatible with SMBus standards. It allows voltage level translation between 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V buses. The pass gates of the switches enable the VDD pin to limit the maximum high voltage. This feature permits different bus voltages on each pair, making this electronic component suitable for communication with 5 V parts and protection-free. The PCA9548AD,112 has a maximum clock frequency of 0 Hz to 400 kHz and low standby current. It comes in three packages: SO24, TSSOP24, and HVQFN24. The channel selection occurs via the I2C bus, in any combination. The I/O pins are 6 V tolerant, and it has an active LOW reset input to reset the component when in a LOW state, among other features.
