Description
The LT1071CK is a monolithic high power switching regulator, falling under the category of DC switching regulators. It can operate in all standard switching configurations including buck, boost, flyback, forward, inverting, and "Cuk". It features a high current, a high efficiency switch that is included on the die along with all oscillator, control, and protection circuitry. It has a wide input voltage range of 3V to 60V and a low quiescent current of 6mA. This model has an internal 5A switch (2.5A for LT1071). It requires very few external parts, has self-protection against overloads, and can operate in nearly all switching topologies. It can be externally synchronized (Consult Factory).
