Description
This Electronic Component Model MS3474L14-12A is a circular connector housing in the Amphenol MIL-C-26482, Series 2 Connectors. It features a medium size and is environmentally resistant. The recommended operating voltage is up to 1000 VAC (RMS) at sea level. The connector has a quick positive coupling system ensured by a 3-point bayonet coupling, allowing visual confirmation of complete coupling. It eliminates mismating with its five key/keyway design. The contacts can be inserted and removed from the rear of the connector, preventing damage to the front and affecting the sealing characteristics. The contacts are qualified to MIL-C-39029 requirements and can be crimped with standard crimp tools per MIL-C-22520. The grommets are tear-resistant elastomer and experience no degradation when exposed to various fluids. The connector is designed with a lead-in chamfer and a hard face on the closed entry socket side to accept a pin contact bent within pre-established limits. It also has an elastomer interfacial seal on the pin side with raised barriers around each pin, providing a positive moisture seal.
