The GD82541GI is a Gigabit Ethernet IC chip designed by Intel, which includes an integrated Media Access Control (MAC) and a physical layer (PHY) function. This component is designed for network designs on desktops, workstations, and mobile PCs. With very small footprint compatibility with the current generation of 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet designs, GD82541GI is an excellent choice for implementing Gigabit Ethernet in limited spaces.

- Host Off-Loading: transmit and receive IP, TCP, and UDP checksum off-loading capabilities; transmit TCP segmentation and advanced packed filtering; Jumbo frame support up to 16 KB;
- Manageability: On-chip SMBus 2.0 port; Wake on LAN* (WoL) support; Smart Power Down mode when no signal is detected on the wire;
- Additional Device: four programmable LED outputs; BIOS LAN Disable pin; JTAG (IEEE 1149.1) Test Access Port built in silicon.
