  • Description

    The MAX3863ETJ+ is a laser driver designed for SDH/SONET applications up to 2.5Gbps. It provides bias and modulation currents for driving a laser and accepts differential PECL data and clock inputs. The device features a synchronizing input latch which can be bypassed if a clock signal is not available. With a single +3.3V or +5V power supply, the device provides a programmable modulation current from 5mA to 60mA, and a programmable bias current from 1mA to 100mA. The rise/fall time is less than 90ps, and the device is compliant with ANSI, ITU, and Bellcore SDH/SONET Specifications.
