  • Description

    The MAX491EEPD is a low-power transceiver for RS-485 and RS-422 communications in harsh environments. It belongs to the MAX48XE and MAX1487E series of transceivers. This device can transmit up to 2.5Mbps, and each driver output and receiver input is protected against ±15kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) shocks without causing latchup. This transceiver has a low quiescent current which makes it a suitable device for low-power RS-485 transceivers, low-power RS-422 transceivers, level translators, transceivers for EMI-Sensitive Applications, and Industrial-Control Local Area Networks.
