Description
The TLK2501RCP is a high-speed 10Gbps Ethernet transceiver integrated circuit chip designed and produced by Texas Instruments (TI). It is used mainly in backplanes, front panel connections, and other applications that require dual/redundant 10Gbps connections over controlled impedance media of approximately 50Ω. The TLK2501RCP performs the parallel-to-serial, serial-to-parallel conversion, and clock extraction functions for a physical layer interface. It provides high-speed bi-directional point-to-point data transmission with a transfer rate and distance dependent on the attenuation characteristics of the media and the noise coupling into the lines.
The TLK2501RCP is an eight-channel serial transceiver that contains two complete IEEE P802.3ae-2002 10 Gbps Ethernet XGXS(1) (XAUI) compliant cores. It supports multiple redundancy modes, PRBS, Jumbo Packet operation, and several alignment configurations. Additionally, it incorporates a diagnostic LED output interface and has multiple I/O interface options for its management data input/output interface.
