The OV529 is a black and white digital camera chip that utilizes OmniVision's CMOS image core technology. It offers a low-cost solution for high-quality video image applications with its CMOS sensor technology and user-friendly digital interface. The OV529 provides a continuous byte-wide image data through its digital video port. It supports programmable features such as variable frame rate, exposure setting, and image size. Configuring the chip and accessing the video data is as easy as read/write of a static memory.
