Description
The L7915CV-DG is a three-terminal negative voltage regulator that belongs to the L79 series of linear voltage regulators. It is available in TO-220, TO-220FP, and D²PAK packages, and offers several fixed output voltages, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. This voltage regulator is designed to provide local on-card regulation, which eliminates the distribution problems associated with single point regulation. With the same voltage option as the L78 positive standard series, it is particularly suited for split power supplies. The L7915CV-DG can deliver an output current of up to 1.5 A when adequate heat sinking is provided. Although it is primarily designed as a fixed voltage regulator, this device can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltages and currents.
