Description
The 0402ESDA-11 is a high reliability chip capacitor designed for surface mount applications. It is part of the NOVACAP series, with a dielectric made of Ultra stable EIA Class I C0G or NP0 material. These capacitors are specially tested for long term reliability and are burned in at elevated voltage and temperature. They are also physically and electrically inspected to ensure conformance to strict performance criteria. The 0402ESDA-11 can be tested in accordance with MIL-PRF-55681, MIL-PRF-123, MIL-PRF-49467, or customer-specific requirements.
The capacitors feature nickel barrier terminations, which make them suitable for solder wave, reflow solder board attachment, and vapor phase attachment. They are also available with silver-palladium terminations for hybrid use with conductive epoxy. The C0G chips offer Class I stability, with a linear temperature coefficient and stable electrical properties over time, voltage, and frequency. They are commonly used in precision circuitry that requires high reliability, such as medical implanted devices, aerospace, airborne, military, and other consumer use cases that demand safety margins beyond commercial products.
