Description
The LTC®4307 is a hot-swappable, 2-wire bus buffer used in I/O card insertion into a live backplane without data and clock busses corruption. The LTC4307 buffer allows bidirectional buffering, keeping the backplane and card capacitances isolated. The device provides a low offset and high VOL tolerance, making it possible to cascade multiple devices on the clock and data busses. If SDAOUT or SCLOUT are low for 30ms, the LTC4307 breaks the bus connection automatically. It generates up to 16 clock pulses on SCLOUT in an attempt to free the bus. If the stuck bus is cleared, the bus connection is resumed.
