Description
The NJM78M05F is a linear voltage regulator belonging to the NJM78M00 series and is constructed using the New JRC Planar epitaxial process. This regulator is a 3-terminal positive voltage regulator that employs internal current-limiting, thermal-shutdown, and safe-area compensation, which make them essentially indestructible. This device is suitable for use as a fixed voltage regulator in a wide range of applications, including local or on-card regulation for noise and distribution problems associated with single point regulation. It can deliver in excess of 500mA of output current, provided adequate heat sinking is provided. Besides, this device can be used with external components to obtain adjustable output voltages and current.
