The SN74ABT373PW is a high-performance octal transparent latch with 3-state outputs designed for bus driver applications. The device is intended for use as a general-purpose latch in a wide variety of applications. It is particularly suitable for implementing buffer registers, I/O ports, bidirectional bus drivers, and working registers. The latches are transparent, meaning that their outputs reflect the level of the inputs when the latch enable (LE) input is high. When LE is low, the latches store the level of the data that was present at the inputs. The eight latches employed in the SN74ABT373PW feature 3-state outputs that are controlled by the output enable (OE) input. When OE is low, the outputs are enabled. When OE is high, they are in the high-impedance state.
