Description
The Electronic Component Model 301A is a high capacitance and ultra-low ESR capacitor designed for power-supply outputs and UPS battery stiffening. It is part of the CDM Cornell Dubilier product line.
With an exceptionally low ESR, the Types 300 and 301 capacitors possess a high ripple-current capability. These capacitors have a series inductance of 12 to 16 nH and can handle ripple currents up to 16 amps.
One of the key advantages of the Electronic Component Model 301A is its ability to replace multiple 12.5 mm diameter capacitors that are commonly used in the output of switching power supplies. This capacitor is available in two variants: the Type 300 with three leads for rugged, reverse-proof mounting, and the Type 301 with two leads. For even lower ESR and higher ripple, the Type 300R and 301R versions are recommended.
