Description
The DS1554-70+ is a real-time clock/calendar with a complete set of functions such as RTC alarm, watchdog timer, power-on reset, battery monitor, and 32k x 8 non-volatile static RAM. The device has a byte-wide interface that enables users to access its registers wherein all data are twenty-four-hour binary-coded decimal (BCD) format including century, year, month, date, day, hours, minutes, and seconds. The DS1554-70+ makes day-of-the-month and leap year corrections automatically and is fully compliant with the year 2000 (Y2K).

- The clock registers are accessed identically to the static RAM, and they reside in the 16 top RAM locations.
