The S8082 is a microcontroller model produced by Luminary Micro, Inc. It belongs to the Stellaris® family of microcontrollers and is based on the ARM® Cortex™-M3 architecture. This microcontroller is designed for industrial applications and offers 32-bit performance at a cost equivalent to legacy 8- and 16-bit devices. It provides a small footprint and is suitable for various applications including test and measurement equipment, factory automation, HVAC and building control, motion control, medical instrumentation, fire and security, and power/energy. The S8082 microcontroller is code-compatible with other members of the Stellaris® family and is supported by ARMs widely available development tools, System-on-Chip (SoC) infrastructure IP, and a large user community.
