Description
YMF701B-S is a high-performance audio controller designed for the PCI Bus. It consists of two functional blocks, the PCI Audio block and the Legacy Audio block. The PCI Audio block allows for the handling of up to 73 concurrent audio streams with the Bus Master DMA engine. It converts the sampling rate of each audio stream and provides mixing capabilities without utilizing the CPU or causing system latency. The YMF701B-S features a 64-voice XG wavetable synthesizer with reverb and variation, as well as support for DirectSound hardware acceleration, Downloadable Sound (DLS), and DirectMusic acceleration.
