Description
The 5054-36 is a TV screen display control IC used to display information such as number of channels, date, messages, and program schedules on the TV screen. It features a built-in SYNC-SEP circuit which reduces the need for external circuits and minimizes character turbulence when superimposing. This IC is suitable for AV systems such as VTRs and LDs.

- Screen composition: 24 characters x 10 lines or 32 characters x 7 lines - Number of characters displayed: 240 (Max.) - Character composition: 12 x 18 dot matrix - Characters available: 128 characters (M35054) or 256 characters (M35055) - Character sizes available: 4 (horizontal) x 4 (vertical) - Display locations available: 240 locations (horizontal direction) or 256 locations (vertical direction) - Blinking: Character units with cycle of approximately 1 second or approximately 0.5 seconds, and duty of 25%, 50%, or 75% - Data input: Serial input function (16 bits) - Coloring: Background coloring (composite video signal) - Blanking: Total blanking (14 x 18 dots) with options for border size blanking and character size blanking - Synchronizing signal: Composite synchronizing signal generation (PAL, NTSC, M-PAL) - Output ports: 2 output ports (1 digital line) - Oscillation stop function: Possible to stop the oscillation for synchronizing signal generation - Built-in half-tone display function - Built-in reversed character display function - Built-in synchronous correction circuit - Built-in synchronous separation circuit
