Description
The VSC7140QJ is a dual Fibre Channel repeater designed for use in Hubs, JBODs, or any Fibre Channel Subsystem requiring clean incoming and outgoing signals at a bulkhead connector. It features a digital Clock Recovery Unit (CRU) that recovers incoming data, amplifies it, and attenuates jitter. The VSC7140QJ also has a digital Signal Detect Unit (SDU) to determine whether the incoming signal contains invalid Fibre Channel data. It includes a 2:1 multiplexer that forms a Port Bypass Circuit (PBC) to route either recovered incoming data or SI to SO.
