Description
The VSC8476SN is a 10Gb Ethernet and 10Gb Fibre Channel Serial Transceiver that has a 10-Gigabit Attachment Unit Interface (XAUI) I/O, 8B/10B Encoder/Decoders, 64B/66B encoder/decoder, gearboxing function, 16:1 mux/demux and high speed I/O. It is designed for applications that require high-speed data transmission and is fully compliant with IEEE802.3ae and T11 10GFC standards. The VSC8476SN comes with enhanced IO for long reach copper interconnect and features programmable XAUI I/O, multiple loopback modes, and built-in self-test capabilities. It also has a JTAG access port and operates on 1.8V, 1.2V, and 1.5V supplies. With its compact design and low power consumption, the VSC8476SN is suitable for various networking devices such as Ethernet switches, routers, network interface cards, and Fibre Channel host bus adapters.
