The Texas Instruments CDCV855PWRG4 is a high-integrity, compact, isolated digital power module that provides a one-stop shop for isolated dc-dc conversion and power management. The CDCV855PWRG4 incorporates a highly efficient synchronous buck converter, a low/high side power switch, current diagnostics, and control/monitoring logic. This module is also capable of carrying out real-time CAN communications. With its wide input voltage range, the CDCV855PWRG4 is suitable for a variety of applications, and provides up to 50 Watts of continuous power over an efficiency of up to 96%. The CDCV855PWRG4 also has built-in failure protection features such as over-voltage, over- temperature, and over-current protection to ensure reliable operation and longevity. The module also features soft start, pre-bias start-up, and adjustable power sequencing to protect against inrush current and voltage transients. Overall, the Texas Instruments CDCV855PWRG4 is a cost-effective and great solution for both new and existing applications.
